Biography of Don Finkeldei  Don Finkeldei received a BS in Physics and minor in art from Fort Hays Kansas State. He continued studying computer science and electrical engineering at the University of California, San Jose. After pursuing a successful career for 15 years in the science, technology and computers, Don moved to Santa Fe where he started painting, sculpting and developing internet applications for galleries and artists.
While growing up on a farm in Kansas, Don was interested in art at an early age. As irrigation ditches where filling with water, Don would make watercolor sketches of the surrounding landscape and sculpt animals and people out of the rich Kansas mud. Don say's: "I have always strived to reduce everything I do to it's most elegant simplicity whether it's in art or science. Allowing people to experience visually what I feel in my soul gives me great pleasure".
You'll find most of Don's paintings are of early morning or late evening, cool gray days, vast fields and simple serene settings.
